Cookies

Our websites use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files and do not harm your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies).

We use one cookie to link your learning progress (answered questions, practice rounds, practice exams) to your browser. This cookie contains a random ID and is stored for up to 400 days so that you can pick up your practice later. You can delete it in your browser at any time.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits to us automatically.

Contact and use of the trainer

If you contact us by email, we store your details in order to process your request and in case of follow-up questions.

Special note: When you use the trainer, we store, together with the random ID from the cookie, which questions you answered and how. This data is used solely to show you your learning progress and to select suitable practice questions. It is not passed on to third parties.

Practice test: If you enter your email address after the practice test on the home page, we store it together with your answers and the time. We then send you the result and, as long as you do not object, occasional learning tips and offers for our trainer. The address is only considered confirmed once you click the link in the first email. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by email to [email protected]. We use Postmark to send the emails (see section 5).

4. Payment processing

Payments on this website are processed by the payment service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, D02 H210, Ireland ("Stripe"). What you enter there (name, email address, country, payment details) is processed by Stripe for payment handling and fraud prevention, in part as an independent controller under the Stripe privacy policy. We do not receive your full payment details. Stripe sends us what we need to unlock your access and for bookkeeping: your email address, the plan purchased, amount, time, payment method and, for a subscription, its term and cancellations. The legal basis is performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our statutory tax retention obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Stripe may also transfer data to the United States; Stripe is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and also uses standard contractual clauses.
